The Human Rights Campaign has received a generous donation from Brad Pitt for $100,000 Blair Stover reports. This money is to show Pitt’s support for the same-sex marriage initiatives in several states.

The Human Rights Campaign announced Wednesday that Pitt will match contributions from the group’s members for up to $100,000. Pitt wrote in an email to the Campaign that it’s “unbelievable” that people’s relationships will be put to vote on Election Day.

The vote for same-sex marriage is on the ballot for Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, and Washington State.

The Human Rights Campaign is based out of Washington D.C. and says it has spent $8 million over the past two years to support this cause. They have spent $5 million just on the four ballot measures this year, pushing for marriage equality for gays and lesbians.
