‘Peanuts’ Crew Headed to the Big Screen

October 29, 2012

The Peanuts characters are almost 65 years old and are planning to celebrate in a big way. Blair Stover has the details below.

In 2015, Charlie, Lucy, Linus, Snoopy and Sally will all be hitting the big screen in celebration of their 65th anniversary. The comic strip first ran on October 2, 1950, created by the late Charles Schulz, Charlie and Co. 2015 will also mark the 50th anniversary of the first airing of A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Blue Sky Studios is teaming up with 20th Century Fox to create this Peanuts gang film. The script for this film has been co-written by the original creator Charles Schulz’s son, Craig Schulz, and grandson, Bryan Schulz, along with Cornelius Ulian. Craig Schulz stated, “We have been working on this project for years. We finally felt the time was right and the technology is where we need it to be to create this film. I am thrilled we will be partnering with Blue Sky/Fox to create a Peanuts movie that is true to the strip and will continue the legacy in honor of my father.”

The film is set to hit theaters on November 25, 2015.

Mila Kunis Named Sexiest Woman Alive

October 25, 2012

‘Esquire’ magazine has named Mila Kunis the Sexiest Woman of 2012. Blair Stover has the details below.

‘Esquire’ describes the Ukrainian born actress, Kunis, as “the most beautiful, opinionated, talkative, and funny movie star that we’ve all known since she was nine.”

Kunis is known for her roles in That 70’s Show, Friends with Benefits, Black Swan, Ted, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and the voice of Meg on the TV show Family Guy.

While Kunis tends to keep certain things private, she is not afraid to speak her mind about politics. “The way that Republicans attack women is so offensive to me. And the way they talk about religion is offensive. I may not be a practicing Jew, but why we gotta talk about Jesus all the time? And it’s baffling to me how a poor person in Georgia can say, ‘I’m a Republican.’ Why?” she said. “Some people don’t like to hear celebrities talk about politics. I don’t think I’m a celebrity. I’m a working actress. I think there’s a difference.”

2012’s runners-up were Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Gabourey Sidibe, and Katie Holmes.

Kunis joins the ranks of Rihanna, Halle Berry, and Charlize Theron as ‘Esquire’s’ choice of Sexiest Woman Alive.

J.K. Rowling Not Closing Door on More Harry Potter Stories

October 17, 2012

J.K. Rowling released her first book since the”Harry Potter” series on September 27th, “The Casual Vacancy.” Although Rowling is starting to move on in her career, writing a book aimed at more of an adult crowd, doesn’t mean that she’s putting “Harry Potter” completely behind her.

Rowling recently did an interview with BBC and stated that she’s “done” with the Harry Potter story, but said that she has “left the door ajar” just in case magical idea pops into her head. She said, “If I had a fabulous idea that came out of that world, because I loved writing it, I would do it. But I’ve got to have a great idea.”

She also told BBC News that at some point she would like to go back and rewrite the first few “Harry Potter” books. “There were a couple of the ‘Potters’ and I definitely knew that they needed another year,” she said. “I had to write on the run and there were times when it was really tough, and I read them, and I think ‘Oh God, maybe I’ll go back and do a director’s cut’, I don’t know. But you know what, I’m proud I was writing under the conditions under which I was writing, no one will ever know how tough it was at times.”

Blair Stover’s fingers are crossed that a brilliant “Harry Potter” idea comes to J.K. Rowling very soon! Possibly a follow-up to that James Potter and Sirius Black prequel she penned several years back?

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Giving Relationship Another Try

October 5, 2012

After a very public breakup, are Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart getting back together? Blair Stover has the details below.

Robert Pattinson and estranged girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, recently had a dramatic makeup. The two ‘Twilight’ actors called it quits in July after the news spread that Stewart had an affair with the director of ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ Rupert Sanders, who is married. Pattinson and Stewart are no longer living together but do see each other on a regular basis.

The two actors are trying to work on their relationship and Pattinson has given Stewart a few rules to follow, such as not staying the night at his new home just yet. A British magazine has reported that he also asked that Stewart not discuss Sanders or the affair to anyone at all. Pattinson is giving Stewart a one month trial to work on their relationship and to see if they can move past the infidelity.

Pattinson has made it clear how much Stewart means to him but has warned her that he may never be able to forgive or forget about the affair. Stewart knows that he could change his mind at any time so while she’s excited to have him back, she’s still worried that their romance may only be a trial.

Pattinson is reportedly insecure and super sensitive about the situation, but it shows how much he cares about Stewart by trying to give the relationship another shot.
